I just watched him. Les Dawson is a funny man, but after watching a video of him playing, it seems to be a poorly planned parody of Thelonious, without any regard to his improvisation or talent. The man was simply playing a melody in an unrelated key over the chords. I sincerely hope you were kidding about that.

It gets better everytime I see it. I think that this is one of the greatest songs ever written, regardless of how subjective it is. The melody over the progression, the lyrical content, I just love the duke!
